Committee Meeting Outputs: Membership, Pre-Season Training & A Club Fundraiser

Membership:

Following on from the first committee meeting of the season, the club's fees for the season have been agreed ahead of Sign-Up Day on Sunday 11th August, with every effort being made to keep costs to a minimum.

With the recent changes in Basketball England's membership portal, which will formally launch on 30th July, we've put this event on in order to support our club members in registering themselves with Basketball England, as the club will NOT be able to do this for you.

Copies of our 2019/20 season membership forms for each team are now available to download from the policies section of our website - and will still need to be completed and returned to the club.

Owing to our Junior and Senior Local League sides not having Team Managers in-place at this time, the membership options for those teams will only be to pay via standing order prior to the first training session of every month, or to pay for the season's fees in full.

We would strongly encourage all other members to please pay their membership via standing order, the club's bank details are on your membership form.

In the event of players who wish to participate in multiple teams at the club, please complete the form for the most relevant team. Any sessions you then attend with the secondary team will be on a "pay as you go" basis.

Pre-Season Start Dates:

Our teams will begin pre-season on the following dates:

Senior NBL: Tuesday 6th August (Training each Tuesday)

Junior NBL: Monday 12th August (Training each Monday, excluding Bank Holidays)

Senior Local League: Wednesday 7th August (Training each Wednesday, and every Sunday excluding Bank Holidays)

Junior Local League U12's/U15's: Sunday 11th August (Training each Sunday, excluding Bank Holidays)

Junior Girls: Friday 6th September (Training each Friday)

Senior Women: Friday 6th September (Training each Friday)

Club Fundraiser:

We recently announced our Basketball Marathon fundraiser... This is open to all members of our club!

We're aiming to pass and dribble a marathon, and score over 5,000 points on the 7th September at Skyliner. The event will be running from 9am to 1pm.

We've created sponsorship forms for you to download and print off - which are in the policies section of the website, and we're asking that everyone taking part raises just £20.00 to participate. Everything you raise over £20.00 is then split - with half going to the club, and half against your season's fees!

Register your interest in participating here, and don't forget, the players who raise the most in sponsorship will receive a prize from the club.
